May 25 2011

Some back story is needed before I start I suppose; last week my lovely kiddos left the bathroom floor wet, so when I went into the bathroom I stepped on the wet floor and as I did in did the unintentional splits. (OUCH) It hurt for a second and I "thought" I was ok, went to work, no problems. By the time I got home I was sore and thought it was just from working. Fast forward to today, I was STILL hurting so I went to the doctors finally, had to wait till I had time. The doctor told me that it was my sciatic nerve "flaring up" UGH!
After going to get some meds to "help" the problem I came home. Home to three kids and my wonderful hubby. The Oldest (aka the teenager), our daughter (aka the girl or mini me), and the youngest (aka monkey), So the girl and the youngest were fighting over the big TV in the den, oldest was on the computer (in the den) and hubby was in the bedroom playing his video game. Took Meds and decided to lay on the couch. Played Judge for the fight on the TV and we "decided" to watch a movie. All was calm while watching the movie and most of the remainder of the day, the teenage was online or playing video games all day, monkey and the girl played nicely together.
It wasn't until dinner that the chaos started!!
Every meal time is a who can be funnier than who time. I'm sure there will be plenty of dinner conversations posted on here soon!!
So after dinner with hyped up on funny and the impending threat of NASTY weather, kiddos all chaos broke lose!!. We had wind of about 20ish miles an hour the girl and monkey decided to go out and play basketball on a full side hoop, they played outside till dark. Then it got dark, still waiting on the "weather" to come in. I wanted to watch a local channel to keep an eye on said weather. I newly two amigos decided to give me a math quiz, so the girl(just finished 4th grade) and monkey (just finished kindergarten) gave me a math quiz, and they were watching the weather reports too and getting increasingly more nervous, were told it was time for bed (it was 9:45) they threw a fit!! So we decided that since it is summer break we would let them "camp out" in the living room.
Now that they have calmed down and the storms are pretty much over for now all is quite. The teenager is going to be ticked at me in a few because about to tell him to go to his bed (of course is it 11:30 now)

Hoping tomorrow is not as crazy......but i doubt it!!

OMG I blogged!!!

Life gets crazy, and I don't have thousands of readers hanging on my every post. So I don't post that much, sue me.
However......
Today I just wanted everyone to know that I feel great!! It is kinda of a rare thing for ME to feel GREAT, but I do, and here is why.
I went shopping last night after having a fun dinner with my wonderful hubby and kidlets. We went to IHOP, that is not really that important to the story, but anyway. After dinner we decided to do some shopping, looked around at all the cool "toys" at Best buy, then we headed over to Target (my favorite place :D). We went there to get the kidlets boots, cause it is suppose to snow like crazy here(FYI in TN we don't get much snow). So as soon as we walked in I headed to the purses, cause I love them Hello!! Next to the purses were these cute knit hats, I am so not a hat person, but I like to try them on, why, well because it is fun to look totally stupid while in a store!! Well I tried one on and my hubby tells me "oh that looks cute" (He says that a lot and I think I look like shit most of the time) So I went on to another hat and he said that one looked cute too. I had to find a mirror to see if it was "really" cute or just "I love you in a garbage bag" cute. Found the mirror and Damn I was looking cute. I RARELY think that about myself. So I put the cute hat in my cart and on we shopped. I also got a very plain looking top to match my hat.
This morning I was putting my outfit together, hat, shirt, sweater, scarf(cause it is cold) and jeans. Off to work I went!! I have had so many complaiments on my outfit today it is making me think I need to wear it everyday!! OR I need to do a lot more shopping and get more "cute" outfits!!! :D So if you see someone looking exceptionally cute today, be sure you let them know. You might just make today the best ever for them.

Feel Great Today!! :D

It's been a while

Has it really been 4 months since I posted something on here?!?!?! Well I guess so, a lot has happened and nothing has happened. I am not going to relive the last 4 months with you, instead I choose to bitch about the weather. Yes I said weather. I live in freaking Tennessee, where there is no actual winter. We have spring, and fall which is about the same temperature, and then there is summer were you can fry eggs on your forehead if you stay outside too long, and then there is the rainy season a.k.a "winter"! Well I say BULLSHIT!! I want winter to be winter, you know what I mean, like when in gets cold, you have snow. Not some cold ass rainy weather!!! Blame it on "global warming" or some shit like that but when I was a kid, I remember it snowing way more than it does now. I want my kids to play in the snow, have snowball fights, build snowmen, snow forts and all the cool stuff that I used to do as a kids. But NO they get nasty, gross, cold freaking rain!! I think I need to have a winter home somewhere that actually GETS snow!!! So long Tennessee, somewhere north here I come!!

Keys to the candy shop!

About two weeks ago I found out that I ACTUALLY got a job!! "You will be starting on August 17th". So I had two weeks of worrying and wondering what life at work was going to be like and worrying and wondering about leaving the house and the kids. Yeah I made myself sick, well didn't actually get sick from the nerves until Friday, I could barely eat and had a monster headache.

I went to bed early last night, well early for me which was about 1am. Got up at 6am, did my normal morning stuff, get the kids ready for school and to the bus stop on time. Then it was time for me to get myself ready, I was shaking with nerves!

Made it to work early :) (brownie points?) First things first, I got taken around to meet all of my fellow employees. All very nice by the way. Then it was time to get to it, my trainer gave me a three page (yeah it could be worse, but I haven't worked in 8 yrs!!!) list of duty that I would have to do daily. Overwhelming? YES!! But now it was time to dive into that list of things to do!! And once I got to doing everything it came to me a lot easier than I was making it out to be.

All was going well, and then it was time for lunch. Everyone takes lunch at the same time and we all sit down to eat together, kinda like a little family. Even the conversation is like being at home. So what did we talk about POOP!!! Yep that is right we talked about poop for about 15 minutes, ok I say we but I just listened and tried not to spit my food across the table!!!

After lunch I got to take the COMPANY car to go and run some errands. WTF I get to drive a company car!! Ok so I have to share, but I have a set of keys and one other person has a set!!

Errands done, keys back in my desk, and back to the list. One of the things on my list is I have to scan file, not a big deal. However, when the copy/fax/scanner is taller than you, there is a problem. My feet were killing me so I decided to take my shoes off for a second while I was just standing there. While the shoes were off, the scanner finished and had to put in more papers to scan. While on tippy toes to put the paper up there.....my boob hit the start button!!! It was then I realized that I either need to keep my shoes on (that are killing me) or I need a step stool!! NO I DID NOT MAKE COPIES OF MY BOOBS!! However that would be really funny, but not the first day of work!

The rest of the day was rather quiet. I closed up the office and came home. So glad to be home, tired, feet hurt, but ready to get in there tomorrow and kick butt!! I think I am going to love my job!!

Yes Virgina there is a Santa Clause!

Yes Virgina there is a Santa Clause!

In the last month there have been a roller coaster of emotions that have flowed through my body. They have made me distant and somewhat of a bitch sometimes (sorry honey, I love you). Well today (actually yesterday) things began to change.

I have been without a washing machine for almost a month, we scrapped together enough to do some laundry about a week ago, but had to bring them home to dry. But yesterday my parents found a "good" deal on a BRAND NEW washer for us!! So last night and today I have been doing laundry. When the phone rang.....

Last week I had an interview for a job, which I thought was going to get as soon as I left the interview. The interviewer told me they would let me know at the end of the week or beginning of this week. I didn't hear anything so I called on Monday to check on the job, with no answer and no call back. So my thought was "crap, I really wanted this job" and "oh well time to look some more".

Well this afternoon I played phone tag with my interviewer til we finally got on the same page. I was offered the job and start on the 17th of this month!

I am so over the top we glee tonight, I hope I can sleep! LOL I guess that is why I am writing this just to get it all out and hopefully chill out for the rest of the night!! :D

Buses, Roses, and Chocolates....Oh My!!!

Summer is coming to a close. This Friday is the first day of school for kids, however my husband asked me a interesting question tonight. "When are you going to start training for the Olympics?" Me: "The what?" Hubby: "You are going to have to start getting up earlier, when are you going to bed earlier?" Me: Oh Crap!!

(This year is going to be so much different, my oldest has to be at the bus stop at 6:45am!! WTF I will have to get up at 5:45am to get the child up and moving and fed and all that. Then I will come home and get daughter ready and to the bus stop!)

So that conversation was over, and I was thinking about what time I was going to have to get up. My hubby starts laughing, and shows me a comment that a friend of his posted on Facebook. She asked "Is it wrong to give the bus drives a dozen roses the first day of school?" Which got me to thinking that I don't care what time I have to get up, I'm going to be home with hubby with only one kid home!!!

YYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSS! AND A THOUSAND WOO HOO's!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, however things are so much easier with one kiddo than three. Easier to clean the house. Just one word easier!!

So I am seriously considering getting both my kids bus drivers a dozen roses!! Maybe not at the same time or at the beginning of the year but bus drivers and teacher, I love thee and thank you for all you do!!

Lay Off or vacation

As of July 10th my hubby is no longer employed. The company he worked for has been doing layoffs every couple months for the past year. We were hoping that them moving him to another office would spare him from getting the boot, but no. At least he rode it out for almost a year.

So he has been home everyday for almost a month, not complaining I really like him being home. I just don't want to get too used to the idea of him being home, because I know as smart and talented as he is that he WILL find a job, and then he will be gone during the day again!

I just worry about him, I mean is losing a job like a death? He has been all distant and grumpy. I try to make him laugh, I've gotten grumpy with him, nothing seems to help!! I LOVE having him home, I just wish he would get back to his old self again before he finds a job.

Or before I find one! I had a job interview on Tuesday, it went well I think, as good as interviews go. The lady seemed to like me and the fact that I had a degree. So fingers crossed I will hear something in the next couple days about that!!
Then he can be the stay at home daddy, and I can be the bread winner, which will be completely strange after 12 years of the other way around, but I'm looking forward to the idea of that!!

So keep us in your thoughts and I know we will make it to the other side where the rainbows are and the sun is shining!! :D

Dammit I'm going to do it!!

I have considered myself "fat" (not in the good way) for about 11 yrs now (that is how old my baby will be in two months). So I have finally gotten fed up with it!! So long fat girl, here comes the hotness!! This all started about 6 weeks ago, I got an iphone and started playing with all the bazillion apps that you can get for it. Well hubby and I both got the "lose it" app. For the first time I am actually keeping track of what I eat, and I get more exited when I can put in my exercise. What is funny is somehow this little program has made me want to lose it. I started out just wondering what I actually ate during the day and found out that, well I ate to freaking much!! The first two weeks I only put in my food every couple of days cause I think I was scared to see the damage that I had been doing to myself. However the last 4 weeks I have been entering in my food after every meal and snack. I'm startin out slow at a pound a week but so far in 3 weeks I have lost 2.5 pounds. I'm not seeing it on my body but the scale is telling me that it is working. My goal is 100 pound, which will take two years (ugh!!) but I will make it this time I know it!!

this is me and my hunny at Epcot (me at 220 lbs, ugh I hate this picture!) But I have something to look forward to, a thinner healthier me!!! :D
More updates to come!!

Can I skip christmas this year?

For those that know me well, it is a known fact that I am an emotional roller coaster. Most of the time I manage myself well and only a couple people know when I am seriously down.
However this Christmas I would love to just curl up in bed and not get up til the new year. Even then I'm not sure that my moos would perk up any. What really suck is I have nothing to be "depressed" about. I have a wonderful family, whom I love to no end, awesome friends, that put up with my shit, and MOSTLY a FANTASTIC husband that through all the craziness still loves me and tries his hardest to keep me up.
As side from all of that, I am drowning in my own dis pare. Over what? I would like to know that too. I'm tired of feeling like this, up and down every couple months is getting on my nerves. I'm tired of relaying on medication to "fell better or normal". I want to just BE normal.
I take on the emotions of friends and family and can't shake it sometime. A friend recently had a miscarriage, actually her second in a year, and my heart is so tore for her. I have three beautiful children and she has lost two. I have never lost a child but it hurt me to the core to know that she is in such pain. I can't find the words to say to her to tell her my feelings of her pain.
My mom has also be hurting emotionally lately, my grandmother passed away a year ago this week. I am feeling guilty that I was unable to go to the funeral and support my mom like she needed me to. And I was unable to give my goodbyes to my awesome grandma. I think about her all the time and wish she could hug me and let me cry.
Instead I am poring my heart out to the huge thing called the internet in hopes that getting it all out will improve my mood and help me enjoy the holiday, instead of faking my mood.
Going to blow my nose now because I have cried while witting this entire blog post.

Year of a Million ZZZZZZZ's (part 4 of 4,part2)

I had to include this into the Disney trip even though we were "on our way home". We checked out of Disney and decided we needed to go over to Downtown Disney. Shopping, shopping and yes MORE shopping!!! However what did I do I took pictures of cool thing that I saw so here are a few of those.....
Lego FamilyLego DragonLego DinoWall of Lego peopleWall of LegosLogan LegoKyleigh Lego
Yeah the Lego store was the coolest!! We all loved it!!
After spending a couple hours shopping, we were off. But not leaving Florida just yet!! We decided to cross the state and head to the beach, why?? Well because I figured being so close to the ocean and not going to see it could possibly be a crime. Plus I was hoping to stop my kids from thinking that any lake or pond they saw was the ocean. Show it to them in person and then they would understand just how big the ocean is!!

The ocean was beautiful and fun. The kids LOVED it and did not want to leave but we still had a VERY long drive home, plus the added hours it took to get to the beach, but it was all worth it!!

Year of a Million ZZZZZZZ's (part 4 of 4,part1)

OK so the last day at Disney was to go to Animal Kingdom, what can I say about this. Well it was my least favorite and I could have skipped it all together! In my opinion it was the Disney Zoo, which is not that special. I mean the safari was cool, but that was really the only thing we did because we all wanted to go back to Epcot to see the thing we missed the day before.
Ky with PocahontasErik with a Tiger
We did get tons of pictures of animals but I'm not going to fill my blog up with pictures of animals that are not mine!! LOL
We went off to Epcot, and I got my oldest to ride test track and mission to mars, so I felt it was a productive day!! LOL After Epcot we had one last Character dinner it was with Chef Mickey and Friends.

Day Three...First things first, the night before in Magic Kingdom, my Daughter was Crowned Princess for the day, however it was right before the park closed, so we told her to wear her crown on the third day. While on the bus to Epcot (which we were the only riders) they made and announcement that "We have royalty riding with us today, Welcome Princess! " My daughter thought that was the coolest thing in the whole world. So we started off entering Epcot, and spent an hour or so in the innovations place, then we realized that we needed to get to the World Showcase and for that matter to Norway. Yet another Character meal!! (Damn Disney for making me eat so much!!)

We had lunch in Norway with all (or most) of the Princesses. Not one of my oldest Favorite meals, he looked completely bored. However he may have been jealous of the little one because he was kissed by Jasmine!!
Jasmine gave Erik his first kiss!! Can you see the smirk?

He was smitten the rest of the day!!
After lunch we continued to explore the world, round the world in a day!! LOL
While we went around the world, hubby and I tasted a lot of yummy wines. Out of all of the great places around the world my top three were Germany, Italy, and Morocco. While in Morocco I actually got a henna tattoo, sadly it as worn off already but it lasted over a week.

After a long day at World Showcase, cause no we did not get back over to Epcot except to walk out. We had to head back over to the Magic Kingdom for "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween", which was a giant sized trick or treat feast! WE walked around and collected candy in a not as busy park. It was fun but I think we were all just pooped. The kids and I all got our faces painted for FREE instead of paying $12 a piece so that was nice. And we got to ride the teacups which made me feel like a little kid again!!
